About Genus
The Genus app has been developed by Diakonhjemmet hospital and is used in the ongoing research project OA-AID.
The app provides information about knee osteoarthritis aimed at people who have been referred for assessment in the specialist health service. In the app, a program is followed over eight weeks, where new informational videos become available every week. In addition, the app contains training exercises designed for knee osteoarthritis, weekly quizzes, questionnaires and the option to write notes and questions.
The aim of the app is for the user to gain more knowledge about knee osteoarthritis and be better prepared for the appointment at the hospital.
The app is not intended to assist in medical decisions, and you should always consult a specialist before making choices that affect your health.
