About Pedal

MinPedal is a digital mood diary for people with bipolar disorder. It is currently being tested and only available to a random sample of people participating in the Pedal study. In the Pedal study, we compare two versions of a psychoeducational group treatment program for people with bipolar disorder. In the MinPedal app, you as a user can map your mood, your sleep pattern and other factors that may be relevant to the course of the disease in bipolar disorder. You will be asked daily questions about your mood and whether you have felt stressed, about how you have slept and whether you have taken prescribed medications. In addition, you will be asked questions every week about menstruation (women), use of alcohol and other drugs, as well as any psychotic experiences. The mood and sleep mapping is visualized in a "dashboard" so that you can monitor changes over time. The purpose of the mood diary is to get a better overview of your mood swings, so that you can, for example, see patterns, triggers and early signs of deterioration. In the app, you can also access the online portal used in the Pedal study, where you will find informational materials and online resources about bipolar disorder.
