The Book of Bulughul Maram contains 1,300 pieces of hadith. Ibn Hajar mentions who the narrators of the hadith came from. Bulughul Maram included traditions from major sources such as Sahih al-Bukhari, Sahih Muslim, Sunan Abu Dawud, Sunan at-Tirmidzi, Sunan an-Nasa'i, Sunan Ibnu Majah, and Musnad Ahmad and others.
The book of Bulughul Maram has a special virtue because all the traditions contained in it then become the foundation of fiqh in the Shafi'i school. In addition to mentioning the origins of the traditions contained in it, the composer also includes a comparison between several other hadith narrations that come from other paths. Because of this privilege, Bulughul Maram until now remains a reference book of hadith which is widely used without regard to his fiqh school.
