The project "Małopolski Szlak Wód Mineralnych" aimed to create a website that would contain not only descriptions, photos and locations of over 30 places in Małopolska where you can taste mineral waters. The aim of the trail is not only the protection and promotion of well-known health resorts such as Krynica Zdrój, Wysowa Zdrój, Muszyna, Piwniczna Zdrój, Szczawnica, Rabka Zdrój, Szczawa and Kraków-Swoszowice, but also places less known or known primarily by local communities. Mineral waters have many healing properties and, for example, the healing properties of waters were discovered thanks to the activity of prof. Józef Dietl in 1856. At the end of the 19th century, Krynickie Zdroje was visited by thousands of patients. Famous spas are a brand in themselves. Unfortunately, these smaller towns are not so famous and have a wealth of mineral water springs. Therefore, thanks to the "Małopolska Mineral Water Trail", the user will also be able to get to know unknown places where you can taste mineral waters. And access to these waters can be both in pump rooms (usually for a fee), but also at springs where you can get water free of charge.
The project was implemented with the financial support of the Lesser Poland Voivodeship as part of the tourism offer competition entitled Lesser Poland Gościnna.
