RKM Shillong

The building of Ramakrishna Mission Shillong (Laitumkhrah) at the present site was completed in the year 1937, and in the same year, this centre got affiliation from the headquarters of Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math. It was a dream come true which was conceived by Revered Swami Prabhanandaji Maharaj (Ketaki Maharaj) which was put forth at the managing committee in 1929 at the Jagannath Temple Premises in which Swami Shankaranandaji Maharaj happened to be present. Swami Bhuteshanandaji Maharaj became the first secretary of the Mission.
