About DEAF RESPECT

DEAF RESPECT

It is the first application dedicated to the deaf and hard of hearing people, which allows them to choose how they can and want to communicate with others.

Each person can decide if they prefer to communicate by:

sign language interpreter,

a writer (transcriber) with the option to use his voice or reply in writing.

Why is this app different from everyone else?

As g / deaf / hard of hearing, you choose the translator or transcriber through which you want to communicate. You see who is available and when and what their grades are. You decide whether you want to wait and arrange an interview with your favorite interpreter or arrange the matter with the first available interpreter. You see who you are in line and the estimated waiting time.

After finishing the conversation, you evaluate the quality of the connection and the quality of the interpreter's work.

Thanks to this, the best translators will work for you.

What else does this application offer?

As a deaf / hard of hearing person, do you encounter a situation where someone calls you, you ask for an SMS, but this number is still calling you? The great part of this design is the ability to add a dedicated phone number. You use the number given in the application as your number - you can enter it as a contact number at the office, at the clinic, at work - wherever you want. When someone calls you on this number, they will connect through the application - via translator or transcriber! This means no more calling to your regular phone number without being able to talk.

The application was developed by the DEAFCOM company from the Czech Republic and has been successfully operating there for over 5 years and now the DEAF RESPECT Foundation is introducing it to Poland.

Dedicated phone numbers will not be added in the beta yet. As part of the tests, translators and transcribers will be available during limited hours, which will be indicated in the application, as they will help us voluntarily. We count on your understanding. Please share your views on the application with us. Improve and develop it with us!
