The "GDPR -Assessment of a Breach" app is a free tool based on ENISA recommendations that helps you to evaluate a data protection breach (GDPR incident). Based on simple questions and prepared answers you can select from a list, our application calculates estimated risks related to the incident. The result of the analysis can help you to decide whether GDPR requires to take further steps, i.e. to report the breach to the supervisory authority, and/or to notify the persons whose rights might have been violated.

The methodology adopted for the creation of this calculator takes into account the recommendations made in the publication of the European Union Agency for Network and Information Security (ENISA) 2013, Recommendations for a methodology of the assessment of severity of personal data breaches. Each case of a breach or suspected breach of personal data protection should be analyzed individually, in particular with regard to the implementation of the obligations set out in Articles 33 and 34 of the GDPR.
