The Tourism Service organizationally belongs to the Department for Economic Development, Sports and Culture of the Government of the Brčko District of BiH - Subdivision for Tourism, Sports and Culture.
Within the scope of work of the Tourism Service, tasks related to proposing systemic measures and economic policy measures for the realization of tasks determined by planning and other acts in the field of tourism and catering are performed.
The service also deals with the organization and implementation of development programs of cultural-manifestation and sports-recreational events, which can contribute to the development of tourism. The drafting of regulations of interest for the promotion of cultural-event, sports-recreational, transit, rural, eco and other forms of tourism is also in the description and scope of the Service.
A special task in the work of the Service is defined as cooperation with sports and cultural institutions of the Brčko District of BiH and beyond, with the aim of complementary connection of tourism and other areas, and promotion on both domestic and international markets.
