My Livlina
Min Livlina is developed for you who have contact with psychiatry and who have made one or more suicide attempts. The app gives you support for how you, together with a trained therapist in psychiatry, can establish a safety plan. The security plan contains a number of personalized management strategies that can be helpful in preventing and managing a possible suicide crisis. It is the insights and strategies that you and your therapist come to that form the content of the safety plan.
The app contains the following functions:
- Support to build your safety plan together with your therapist. You make the security plan by identifying your warning signs, management strategies and personal networks to keep you safe.
- Quick access to SOS Alarm and options on where you can get support and help.
Opportunity to keep a diary of your mood.
Opportunity to add reminders, for example about medications and appointments.
Evaluations show a reduced risk of suicide among those who have used security plans. The approach has been developed by Barbara Stanley and Gregory K Brown and the method has spread around the world. The app My Livlina has been developed by the non-profit organization Suicide Zero and Region Kalmar.
As a user of the app, you own your own login-protected account. No information about the app's users is recorded or shared outside the user account.
My Lifeline is intended as a tool for self-help and not as a substitute for professional treatment. The central function of the app The safety plan is a copy of the physical individual safety plan that is produced in dialogue between you and your therapist. If you yourself feel bad and have suicidal thoughts, it is important that you seek help.
