Detection of Organic Matter

1. The protein can be detected by the biuret reagent solution.
2. Protein reacts purple with biuret reagent.
3. Vitamin C can be detected by iodine starch solution.
4. Vitamin C can reduce iodine to iodide ions. Iodine can make starch solution blue, while iodide ions can't make starch.
