In the 1990s, rehabilitation and psychological support services for patients with kidney disease were relatively scarce. In view of this, a group of enthusiastic medical staff, social workers and hospital shepherds initiated the establishment of the "Queen Elizabeth Nephrology Mutual Aid Group" in 1993, and in 1994 It was officially registered as the "Nephrology Mutual Aid Association of Queen Elizabeth Hospital."
"Queen Elizabeth Hospital Nephrology Mutual Aid Association" was formally registered with the Societies Registry in December 1993 and is a non-profit charitable organization exempted from tax under Article 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance. The independent operation of the Association has no direct or indirect relationship with Queen Elizabeth Hospital. This program is in the possession of the Kidney Friends Mutual Aid Association.
