FastCoach (patent pending) takes a novel approach to dieting by focusing on user’s biomarkers (quantitative or qualitative characteristics of biological processes) to show progress and fine tune their diet. These biomarkers can be measured with a blood glucose and/or ketone meter. KetoCoach offers these devices, but the FastCoach platform does not require their use.
For example, a user who eats a carbohydrate rich meal can measure their blood glucose levels to see how a food spikes their blood sugar level. This gives them instant feedback to know what they should avoid in the future.
A user who is intermittent fasting, can measure their ketone levels to see when their body enters a fat burning state. A user who is trying to eat in a caloric deficit, can track their heart rate during exercise to see how rigorous it was and how many calories were burned. A combination of these biomarkers can be combined to determine what is happening in the body before any progress with weight or waist size can be seen.
This is where the community component of Fastcoach is unique. Users can join a community of people and easily share their progress via biomarkers rather than weight and waist size.
To enhance the experience, there is a community leader/instructor motivating and informing users who have joined the challenge. This gives users the advantage of hearing from experts on ways to tune their diet to hit certain biomarkers.
