Made in collaboration with those who have lived experience of disability, Purple Door provides special assistance related information about airports and allows you to directly communicate with the airport special assistance teams. We currently provide information related to special assistance for the majority of airports in the United Kingdom. With some participating airports, we go further by:
a) facilitating airport assistance bookings;
b) scheduling the time and place for meeting the assistance crew;
c) allowing you to chat online with the assigned crew, ahead of meeting them;
d) passing on your feedback to the relevant airline, airport and special assistance provider.
We are working with airports and airlines around the world to improve the travel experience of passengers with accessibility requirements and those who are eligible for free assistance by law.
We are based in London and our team has decades of experience in aviation technology. We are solely focused on improving passenger experience by bringing passengers, airlines, airports, and special assistance providers together using technology.
