‘Food Additives - Australia’ is an app designed to enable you to determine the name of additives present in almost all processed food products. Whilst most additives are harmless you may have specific additives to avoid. Whilst you may know the name or the number of the additive you may not know both. This app will allow you to quickly find the name of an additive from its number or the reverse. The list presented is obtained from information gathered from © Food Standards Australia New Zealand and may not include all additives available in other countries or it may include additives not approved in other countries.

The app also provided guidance on whether a specific additive should be avoided or used with caution. Information presented is intended to be used as a guide only and is not intended to be used as an authoritative list. Further advice should be obtained from relevant authorities.
