The AppRecs Mission

We launched apprecs.com in 2016 with the goal of making apprecs.com a great resource for app recommendations.

We've used novel methods to detect and filter out fake reviews, exposing the true ratings for all the apps in the iOS and Android app stores. With these more accurate ratings, we've been able to raise the truly great apps to the top of your search results and recommendations while filtering out the bad ones. We think that's a major improvement over the native app stores, which remain plagued with misleading app ratings, paid app placements, and other obstacles to finding genuinely high-quality apps.

We're working on new ways to help you find exactly what you're looking for. We're evolving the site to bring you new and better features, all while keeping a laser focus on simplicity and speed.

Does AppRecs host any APKs or other app files?

At its heart, apprecs.com is an app search and recommendations engine. It provides links to apps in the official iOS and Android app stores (Apple's App Store, Google Play) and doesn't host any apps. There are no APKs, .ipa files, or any other apps on the site.

Is it safe to get apps via AppRecs?

Yes. AppRecs is a resource for finding apps, and it doesn't host any apps itself. All download links take you to Apple and Google's official app stores.
