The understanding of light as a topic by students in any formal learning experience is highly idiosyncratic and very commonly in conflict with the concepts of physics. Students often complain of the hardships in learning physics especially with regards to light. In order to overcome this problem, an innovative board game named the Lensos-M is designed to provide fun learning experience for students studying physics, especially those focusing on the subject of light. The objective of this board game is to introduce and strengthen the player’s understanding of basic light theories and basic design of optical instrument. The board game requires a minimum of two players, and consists of two playing dices, a set of questions, and currency for the players to purchase and trade with. It also includes an interactive optical component. This educative game would inculcate interest in learning electricity among students and has potential to be patented and commercialized.
