Applying the basic theories in clinical practice always been challenging for many medical/biological courses including Immunology. Lack of student engagement during class implicates the student’s achievement. The situation highlights the critical need for implementation of new instructional design in order to stimulate student participation in learning the theory courses. It is of importance to maintain student engagement during class especially in the midst of online teaching era. Nowadays, the students find game-based learning is more enthralling than conventional projector lecture and books. Therefore, gamification is selected as an alternative tool of learning Immunology. iMUgo MindHack is a game-based learning tool that incorporates augmented reality (AR) element aims to stimulate the student’s ability to apply knowledge related to Immunology in given clinical presentations/practices. iMUgo MindHack promotes engagement in learning as the students are motivated with point award and peer assessment systems. This game will be played by a group of 4 students and each of the successful mission that they carry out individually will help them to win the puzzle piece and solve the puzzle which contains the final answer for the entire game. The money that the student earn throughout the activity will be translated into continuous assessment mark.
