This Android application is an Explanation About Al-Ghuluw Wa Atsaruhu Fil Irhab by Sayyid Muhammad bin Alwi Al Maliki. In PDF format.
Contains the dangers of understanding Ghuluw / Extremism, namely an action that goes beyond the moderate and middle limits that have been outlined and recommended by Islam and is strongly emphasized to be held firmly and not let go. Things that happen to these Extremists always consider heresy and even disbelief against all beliefs that contradict what they believe.
The impact of this attitude is the emergence of acts of terror against civilian security. As a result of the attitude of feeling that the other group is wrong, so they need to eradicate what they think should not happen.
The attitude of ghuluw (excessive or excessive) in religion is an attitude that is disgraceful and prohibited by the Shari'a. This attitude will not bring good to the perpetrator; nor will it yield good results in all affairs. Especially in matters of religion.
There are many arguments in the Qur'ân and Sunnah which warn and forbid ghuluw or transgression.
Allah Azza wa Jalla says:
Say: “O People of the Book, do not exaggerate (exceed the limits) by not being right in your religion. And do not follow the desires of those who went astray before (before the advent of Muhammad) and they misled most (people), and they strayed from the straight path. [al-Ma`idah/5:77]
