In the 8th century Hijriyah, a scholar who was an expert in tafsir was born who was an alumnus of the end of the tafsir madrasah with atsar. He was Isma'il bin 'Umar bin Katsir Rahimahullah, one of the students of Shaykhul Islam Ibn Taymiyyah Rahimahullah (died in 774 H). His interpretation has been used as a reference by scholars and students of knowledge from his time until now.
