Chasoslov is a book that contains the unchangeable parts of the daily liturgy, except for the Liturgy, and is intended for readers and singers in the choir. In it, the acts of Midnight, Matins, First, Third, Sixth and Ninth Hours, Vespers and Great and Little Afternoon are presented.
This book is called Chronology because it explains the order of hours. The chronology also contains a supplementary part, which has different content in different editions. Usually there are morning prayers, which are read before midnight, the act of raising the panagia, the blessing of the table, the canon of the Virgin composed by the monk Theostirikts, prayers for those who are going to rest, tropars and condacs, the Virgins that conclude the chanting of the tropars and stichs. The Great Hour Letter is also added to the Month Letter. The Small Timeline is an abbreviation of the Big Timeline. These abbreviations only concern supplements.
