Dream interpretation is a non-controversial topic. Dream interpretation or oneirology attempts to interpret the feelings, images and actions experienced in the dream. Since there is no agreement on the function of dreaming in scientific dream research, the interpretation and meaning of dream content are controversial.

Dream symbols are very important for dream interpretation, that is, things that you dream of or that appear in a dream or recurring dreams. For dream interpretation, but not only actual dream symbols are relevant. The person himself is also very important, e.g.

- gender and age
- living situation
- Experiences, feelings and thoughts from the day before
- feelings and thoughts in the dream
- feelings and thoughts after waking up

Without taking into account personal circumstances, dream interpretation is very difficult and superficial. The same goes for the meaning of tram symbols. The more than 9,000 dream symbols described in this glossary can therefore only be interpreted in a general way. Some interpretations will suit a dream relatively well, others a little less. This should be taken into account when interpreting dreams.
