About Un Battito di Ali

Un Battito di Ali is the app developed thanks to the contribution of the non-profit association Un Battito di Ali of Jesi (AN) in support of children followed by the Department of Cardiology and Congenital and Pediatric Cardiac Surgery of the Ospedali Riuniti di Torrette di Ancona.
The Un Battito di Ali app is part of a monitoring platform that allows doctors in the Cardiology and Congenital and Pediatric Cardiac Surgery ward to remotely monitor small patients, both for health aspects and for other aspects related to the lifestyle of the themselves.
The app allows you to monitor patients at home or on the move, in relation to multiple vital parameters; typically, the app communicates with compact Bluetooth multi-parameter devices that can be easily transported in an ad hoc case or with individual devices which the user is expected to equip that allow the detection of blood pressure, heart rate, oximetry, body temperature, single-track ECG, blood sugar, weight , etc., depending on the monitoring needs.
Furthermore, where a Bluetooth device is not available, it is possible to manually enter the data produced by devices not interfaced with the smartphone / tablet.
The application, installed on a smartphone or tablet, and the accompanying medical devices, work with a few simple finger touches: the simple and intuitive interface is particularly suitable for users who are not familiar with technological tools.
Main features / functionality:
- Simplified and user-friendly interface
- Acquisition of biomedical measurements from certified medical devices associated via Bluetooth to smartphones or tablets and the possibility of remote monitoring of patients
- Possibility of manually entering the parameters detected by means of non-Bluetooth devices / not interfaced with the system
- Access to the history of measurements made over time directly from the app (PHR in table or graph format)
- Alert to the monitoring center (or to other recipients) in case of out-of-range detections
- Audio-videoconference for real-time communications with healthcare personnel (doctors, nurses, etc.) where required
- Integrated private chat that allows the exchange of text messages and files of various kinds (e.g. photos, documents, etc.)
- Interactive questionnaires profiled by categories of users

The app can be downloaded for free from the PlayStore; however, preliminary enrollment in the remote monitoring project is required by the Department of Cardiology and Congenital and Pediatric Cardiac Surgery of the Hospitals of Ancona in order to have the necessary user credentials. Contact the aforementioned department or the Un Batti to di Ali Onlus Association for more information on how to enroll.
