What do we do on the hiking day?
Every class - and every class teacher - asks twice a year for each school year. Good ideas are needed so that the hiking day is not only a change from the everyday school life, but also a shared experience.
The app "Draußenwirkung" therefore aims to help teachers to treat sustainability issues during hiking days. It was published by the Center for Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) and the working group "Nature and Zoopedagogics" of the State Institute for Education and Media as well as the state coordination of the Saarland Saarland Ministry of Education. The app contains a wealth of information on planning and implementing hiking days with ESD priorities: In addition to basic knowledge of ESD, Global Learning and the Global Sustainability Goals, there is an overview of the educational offerings from over 40 out-of-school learning venues, with contact details and route planning tools for the hiking day , Also practical proposals for a "day out" with concrete (game and action) ideas for forest and meadow as well as consumption-critical city tours, which are constructed as digitally guided routes for all district towns and provide treasure hunts with materials and quizzes, help to design a hiking day sustainability effect.
