Bowen Tyler, after a series of misfortunes and coincidences that include a shipwreck, a rescue and the boarding of the same German submarine that had torpedoed and sunk the ship where he was traveling days ago, ends up as captain of a crew composed of a handful of Englishmen and Germans who have taken prisoners. The Germans, who at all costs want to sabotage the plans of the English, manipulate the compass and the detour of the course takes them to Caspak, an island unexplored in the middle of the Antarctic ice. This island, which enjoys its own microclimate due to the activity of a volcano, is the land forgotten by time. In an environment of brutal violence to ensure self-preservation, in Caspak live dinosaurs, wild beasts, vermin of all kinds and the different stages of man in his stage of evolution to homo sapiens.
