This application is designed to allow amateur geologists discovered, independently, the geological wealth of a former mining area of Briançon (Hautes Alpes), the sector Combarine. It was conducted by an association, the Geological and Mining Company of Briançon in collaboration with a company, Briançon IT Services.
The application allows
* To identify or to locate the starting point of this discovery tour or to access different sites.
* Discover virtually or actually 9 locations geo-referenced through photos and narratives.
All major areas of geology can be addressed through specific or landscape observations: traces of glaciers, fossils, sediment to rock, magma, coal and its operations, folding ...
Additional information is available in the form of sound files or access the website of the association.
To function fully, the application requires a smartphone equipped with a GPS and a 3G card
The route is not accessible to people with limited mobility and requires a good physical condition. Access to one of the sites is reserved for experienced climbers
