The EcceOlio application was created by AEDIT s.r.l. within the ECCEOLIO project - Ecocompatibility and environmental sustainability of the production process of extra virgin olive oil for the purpose of enhancing the product for commercialization and territorial marketing - funded under the RDP 2014-2020 of the Tuscany Region (EU Reg. 1305 / 2013) through sub-measure 16.2 - Support for pilot and cooperation projects.
The application allows olive growers to self-assess the practices implemented to increase environmental sustainability and the conservation of biodiversity in their olive groves. The self-assessment consists of a checklist of closed-ended questions on the management methods that have been implemented in the olive grove in the last year. For each question it is necessary to select the answer that most corresponds to the situation of your olive grove. Once the checklist is completed, a cumulative score is obtained based on the answers provided. The maximum achievable is 10. The result of the self-assessment can be saved by assigning the name / location of the olive grove on which the answers were provided. To complete the save, the GPS of the device must be active.
For the companies participating in the project activities, the results of the self-assessment are visible on the siteecceolio.it and the strengths (questions for which the highest score was obtained) are used in the pages of the site dedicated to promotion and marketing. territory of the high quality oil produced in the area of the Cetona Hills.
