The PRECISION SHEEP application was created by AEDIT s.r.l. within the PRECISION SHEEP project - Precision agriculture and sheep milk quality - funded under the PSR 2014-2020 of the Tuscany Region (EU Reg. 1305/201) "Support for the implementation of Strategic Plans and the establishment and management of the Operational Groups of the European Partnership for Innovation in the field of agricultural productivity and sustainability ”- PEI – AGRI through sub-measure 16.2 Support for pilot and cooperation projects.
The app consists of the following sections: (i) barn registry management tool, with parts registration and ultrasound functions and their processing; (ii) section for analysis and evaluation of company data on the quantity and quality of milk.
The app acts as a Decision Support System, allowing the management of personal data and access to a benchmarking system for the cooperatives that are part of the project.
The goal is to transfer the strategies for the adoption of precision-farming and precision feeding practices: (i) assisting extensionists; (ii) providing support to breeders who want to use them directly; (iii) promoting dialogue between breeders, extensionists and scientific partners.
