Pagla Dashu - A fictional character created by Sukumar Roy. Pagla Dashu is a schoolboy and is known for his insanity and very subtle humorous satirical feats. In the year these stories were published in book form. Sukumar Roy was a Bengali children's writer and the promoter of nonsense rhyme in Indian literature. He was simultaneously a writer, rhymer, children's writer, humorist, essayist, playwright and editor. He was the son of popular children's writer Upendrakishore Roychowdhury and his son Satyajit Ray, a famous Indian filmmaker. This crazy Dashu character is especially popular in Bengali literature.
