The funny adventures of the protagonist and his squire reveal the depth of that part of human nature that lies in the desire to achieve one's dreams. The image of the Knight of the Sorrowful Image even gave rise to a philosophical concept - quixoticism.
Complete translation from Spanish, made in 1895 by an unknown translator under the initials S.M. for a publication published by G. Kolchugin’s bookstore.
Modern spelling of the translation was made by Digital Books Publishing House (2013)
The cover features a painting by the French artist Jules David (Jean-Baptiste Jules David 1808-1892).
