There are currently 402 houses in the village. This was not always the case, the reason is, as mentioned above, the burning of the village in 1945, when there were only 6 houses left in the village. Therefore, the massive construction of houses began in the early 1970s, and between 1945 and 1950, up to 200 - 250 houses were built in the village of Skýcov. Skýcov is known as a village with red roofs (construction of new houses after World War II)
