Cardiac CT is an application created to simplify the evaluation of patients undergoing to cardiac computer tomography. The decision whether to refer a patient to an investigation as cardiac CT is very complex and must take into account several factors. Many consensus of experts have been produced in order to classify the indications as appropriate or inappropriate. This application is based on the consensus of the American College of Cardiology Foundation (ACCF) published on 2010, that analyzed 60 indications to cardiac CT categorized in appropriate, inappropriate and uncertain. This application uses the algorithms on that work and provides a simple and intuitive interface that allows to find an indication in a few touches.
Starting with a list of possible clinical scenarios you get the final indication that the is classified as appropriate, inappropriate and uncertain.
In some decision passages you'll need to calculate the risk of coronary artery disease (CAD risk) and the Duke Treadmill Score. In these cases the application provides you specific cards with multiple choice text fields to automatically calculate the needed value.
