“Coulda been a contenda!”
As lovely as is the GTD implementation, and it is exceptionally well done, the user experience is such a barrier that I can’t stick with it. Long time Things user! I tried to convert to Nirvana. I even had AI write me a script to extract from Things and populate Nirvana. But after one day using it in real life, I found that it takes just too many button pushes to do anything. The visual presentation is ugly and industrial. And the so-called cross-platform lacks essential features in other devices some of which are fairly buggy. The web version is the only one that really works, and that’s so 2000’s. So I cancelled. The vendor’s reputation, confirmed by my own past experience, of unresponsive customer service and a lackluster roadmap, made it a lot easier. Such a shame!

Close but no cigar
As with the web and mobile apps, this app’s GTD concept and fundamental execution is flawless. The best there is and with no competitors. But the execution and detailed design have impactful flaws in several very annoying places that seem to have been there for years. So it’s not just a question of whether I can live with them, it’s also a question of whether they will ever be fixed. Could be one of the most frustrating apps I’ve ever used.
