About Safe Patient Handling

Safe Patient Handling (SPH) mobile medical application shall provide the ability to document each safety check or other nursing routines that are performed at multiple intervals to improve the ease and accuracy of charting (turning, toileting, restraints, safety rounds, etc.). This information shall be included with recording patient care. Improving progress notes to show that everything was completed may also be used to display nursing time and effort. These checks will be sent to a CPRS progress note through the VA Mobile Health Adapter at the end of a specified period of time.

Useful but Limited, Needs some Love

There is a very well health enterprise utility to this application but the implementation suffers from non-standard look and feel, oddly repetitive displays, inability to sense the device orientation and adapt (horizontal vs vertical) and manual operations like calculation of score which should be a simple running total. This app could be replaced by a Numbers spreadsheet as it sits... But it has considerable potential... to be much more than what it is now.
