Save Throw Yatzy is the traditional Yatzy dice game we all know – but with a twist…

As in all Yatzy games the player get 3 throws to get the best possible dice. However, in Save Throw Yatzy the player does not have to use all 3 throws in each turn. If a player chooses only to uses 2 of the 3 throws, the player has saved 1 throw for later use.

Thus next time the player has 3 throws + the 1 saved throw.

This simple rule – changes the Yatzy game dramatically making it much more a game of skills rather than chance. Now each player has to decide how many throws it is “worth” using in each turn, rather than always using 3 and hoping for the best.
