Inspired by the painting “Armenia” by Martiros Saryan and motivated by our desire to understand and feel the atmosphere of the scene, we came up with Saryan VR - Cardboard.
It is a digital 3 dimensional recreation of one of the masterpieces of Armenian art. Unlike the canvas, this app fully immerses you into the painting, letting you feel and experience the vibrant colors and extraordinary aura of the work. To be able to transfer the overall tone of the composition we decided to play “Hov Arek Sarer Jan” by Komitas in the background.
Furthermore, thanks to augmented reality techniques, the app recognizes the painting and can be started by scanning the painting through the camera of your phone.
In order to make it available for a broad audience we decided to utilize the most widespread virtual reality technology -- Google cardboard.
Made by ARLOOPA, Marketing done by Antares, Consulting by M. Saryan House-Museum
Features:
- Full 3D immersion
- Background music by Komitas
- Fascinating atmosphere
- Detailed, realistic landscape
- Animations
- HD visuals
For best experience use headphones and a VR viewer.
