Gyroscope One is an auto-renewing subscription, billed with a simple membership that is just $29/month (less than $1 a day).
Subscribe and pay through your iTunes account. Monthly subscriptions automatically renew monthly through your iTunes account. Auto-renew may be turned off in your iTunes Account Settings after purchase. Cancellation of the current active subscription period is not allowed. When you cancel the auto-renewal, access to the app features will expire at the end of the current payment period, and remaining trial is forfeit. Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before end of current period. Account renewal will be charged within 24-hours prior to end of current period.

Things have gotten complicated
I have been using this app pretty much since it launched, and I do appreciate the insights that it provides and that it consolidates a lot of disparate data into a single place. The problem is that they have never really landed on a plan, feature set, or interface. I’ve been paying for a plan that I’m not entirely sure what it offers, and I’ve been consistently encouraged to switch various plans with drastically different prices. Now, they have been promoting a single and relatively expensive plan that relies on AI. Again, I don’t know what I am currently paying for and what differences there would be between this and the new plan. Additionally, there is a weird token system where you earn tokens by tracking items and using the app, but you are also charged tokens for tracking items and using the app. I assume if I am paying $30/month, I am covering the fractions of a penny that AI services charge for queries. Also, features move and disappear on a regular basis. They have been using a food tracking function that uses AI to determine the data into a photo of a meal. That’s great if I am at a restaurant, but if I am eating packaged food with explicit nutritional information, I would just as soon that it import from Apple Health (the entire app is premised on aggregating health information from other apps, but this category seems to be particularly erratic in how they import the data). NB: I contacted support about syncing nutrition with Apple Health and they told me it exists, but were unable or unwilling to explain where or how to do it; not even a screenshot. It seems that my current plan will go away in the near future, and given the perpetually fluctuating set of features, I don’t know that I would continue using it. That makes me sad, because despite the frustration it has provided a lot of value. EDIT: A year on, I have stopped using this app. After posting the above review, I was contacted outside the App Store referencing information from my support tickets and health information. That email was pretty aggressive and I suspect that is a bit of a privacy violation, but T&Cs. I wish this wasn’t the case, because I loved the idea, but they were too eager to monetize and a bit rudderless. If it works for you now, dive in, but things may change.
