It’s okay
I feel like when you first start you don’t have many shifts to pick from and when you do have a shift to pick from they’re always far like 1-2 hours away.

The concept is awesome! The implementation… not so much.
So I’ll try and keep this short. The concept is fantastic! The app just fails in several ways. The biggest hassles are GPS is flaky. It’s not always accurate. Especially in underground concrete lined tunnels or buildings. It’s hard to lock in or out if GPS is inaccurate. Second when there is a problem there is NO human to reach. This happened to me so I’ll give this example. My first shift in karaoke was at a large casino with several kitchens. Security called the main kitchen and they came to get me. Well little did I know I was supposed to be working in the sports bar kitchen. So the sports bar marked me no call no show. When I was in fact working that day in the main kitchen. So then because of the no call no show I got instantly blacklisted. What the..!!! I tried to reach anyone at Instawork and it’s just an AI mess. It took days for that to get sorted. That’s just unacceptable. I was there and worked a shift. The casino just had horrible procedures and didn’t know who was working where in their building complex. That wasn’t my fault. It did get resolved but that shouldn’t have happened to begin with. And the appeal process takes way too long. The UI needs work. It would be great on a “long term” listing to be able to see all the days offered without clicking “book shift”. I hope they are working to resolve these issues. Because again the concept is great, the pay is better than if you applied directly, the app, live human support and implementation just needs some tweaking and polish.
