To Be Honest

While I don’t think this learning method would be good for all people trying to learn mandarin, the teachers are extremely patient. You almost have to purposely mess up many times for the teacher to even get a little frustrated. I’ve been using this for a little less than 4 years now and the teachers really explain what the word means. They’ll actually take the time to define the definition and grammar context of a word. I think it is a very productive way to learn. However, almost all lessons are structured around a short story in Chinese that you have to learn how to read and then there are games that revolve around. The problem is that a lot of the time the story is a lot harder than it should be. There are more new words than the lesson intends to teach you and it can be frustrating to ask the teacher to read a word again and again. Sometimes the lessons can also get boring in the spaces in between reading and games where you have to do analysis. Though I do think that the good things outweigh the problems.

Ok I love this app, like why do people hate it, I mean it glitches sometimes but just leave the class and rejoin. It’s not a big deal, y’all need to be patient. Also the teachers are very nice. So the next time you write something negative just use your brain and realize it’s just a small deal.
