Unsafe, Disrespectful, and Retaliatory Treatment — Especially as a Woman Driver

I’m writing this as a driver who worked through this dispatch platform and as a woman in a male-dominated industry. My experience was deeply disappointing, stressful, and ultimately unacceptable. I accepted a delivery that was clearly quoted as two small packages with a specific weight and rate. After acceptance, additional freight totaling roughly 2,000 pounds was added without my consent, without a new agreement, and without proper documentation such as Bills of Lading. When I arrived at pickup, even the staff there stated they were not expecting that delivery, which immediately raised concerns for me. When I contacted dispatch simply to ask questions about authorization, weight, and pay, I was repeatedly spoken over, not allowed to explain myself, and treated as if I was a problem for asking reasonable questions. I was labeled “disruptive” for trying to understand why I was being paid only a small additional amount for a massive increase in weight. As a woman driver, the way I was spoken to felt demeaning and dismissive. I was not yelling, threatening, or refusing work — I was asking for clarity and fairness. The conversation escalated only because I was not allowed to speak, and after asking for the yelling to stop, my account was deactivated. What concerns me most is that this does not feel like an isolated issue. There appears to be a pattern where drivers — particularly women — are pressured to accept add-ons, heavy items, or poorly prepared deliveries without proper staffing or documentation, and then penalized when they speak up. Drivers deserve: • Transparent load details • Proper documentation • Fair compensation • Respectful communication • Protection from retaliation Unfortunately, that was not my experience here. I would strongly caution other drivers, especially women, to be very careful and to document everything. I experienced unauthorized load add-ons, lack of proper documentation, dismissive and hostile communication, and account deactivation after questioning pay. As a woman driver, I felt talked down to and penalized simply for asking reasonable questions. I would not recommend this platform without major changes in how drivers are treated.
