Outdated software and poor performance make this company a nightmare
Car-Part and its related apps, like Photomate, are prime examples of outdated technology making essential tasks painfully frustrating. Here’s why.. 1. Dated Tech: The software feels stuck in the Windows 2000/Vista era. Slow, clunky, and frustratingly outdated. 2. Frequent Crashes: Photomate crashes multiple times a day, severely impacting productivity. 3. Disorganized company: Leadership is as outdated as the software, preferring bandaid fixes rather than addressing core internal issues. 4. Ineffective Support: Support is slow and often know less than the users that need help. More often than not we’re reading through the thick paper manual booklet to maybe solve the issue. 5. Lack of innovation. Light research on this company show there is zero push for innovation or forward-thinking. 6. Excruciatingly Slow: Loading times are often ridiculous, killing productivity and patience. 7. Compatibility: The software struggles integrating with modern software and websites, leading to frequent glitches and bugs. 8: Mobile Experience: The mobile version of these apps, especially Photomate, consistently perform poorly. Using this software is the bane of my otherwise awesome job. They know they’re essentially a monopoly in the auto recycling industry and choose to sit back rather than improve or innovate. I wish our company could switch, but there’s nowhere else to go. Car-Part is a relic of a previous era, desperately in need of a complete company overhaul. The software is essential but painful to use, and there are very little alternatives. I hope this feedback will inspire Car-Part to innovate and improve and eventually again be a bada** juggernaut in the auto industry.
