About Kuza App

Grow in Christ with digital content made by Africans for African young people.

BLOGS
In this app, you will find blogs that are more of the immediate challenges we see facing youth people in our African context. One of our main goals is to be as biblical as possible whenever we're handling this content to help be God-centred in our lives.

DEVOTIONS
We have devotions in this app to help you grow spiritually. Many times it is hard to understand what the Bible is saying and how it applies to us in our various situations as African young people. We have topical devotional series on things such as sex, addictions, and missions. We also have devotional series on whole books of the Bible such as the book of Romans, Ephesians, and Ecclesiastes. We desire you to read these devotions on a regular basis to help you grow.

VIDEOS
There are two amazing series of videos in Kuza. One is called "Soma" which means "to read" in Swahili. The goal of Soma is to help train you to read God's word in ways that will lead you to get the most out of the Scriptures. We also have another video series call "Uliza" which means "ask" in Swahili. We have lots of people send in questions to our ministry and we want to do our best to answer them and share the answers with you all to give strength in your faith. You can ask questions to us also by texting on WhatsApp at +254-799-254-254 or by emailing us at KuzaApp@gmail.com.

PODCAST
The podcast that we have is something that we also share on our youtube channel. We do a longer discussion on our blogs and various topics. Many people desire us to expound further and give more biblical insight and that is why we started our Kuza Podcast. You can find the Kuza Podcast outside of this app by going to your favourite podcast source.

WHY WE DEVELOPED KUZA
We began by equipping churches to reach youth through teaching conferences. Training the churches was successful in creating youth ministries in many churches. However, we received feedback from many pastors that they felt they needed help in maintaining their youth ministry's spiritual growth. We thought that a smartphone app, along with other digital resources was the easiest, quickest, and cheapest means of distribution. To respond to the needs, we developed a team of local Africans to produce content for digital platforms for youth and young adults in an African context. We chose the name "Kuza" because it means "to be nurtured" or "to grow" in Swahili.

KUZA TEAM
Kuza's content development team is made up of youth pastors and people in youth ministry from gospel preaching churches with the heart of helping youth grow spiritually. Kuza desires to create content that is in an African context. Lots of content for youth and youth ministry come from the west, but they are not entirely relevant for local needs. Kuza desires to change that. We have a strong passion for seeing youth grow in their salvation not just on Sunday but through a daily relationship with Christ.

CONTENT
The digital content that is developed by Kuza is decided based on a group consensus. The Kuza team meets weekly to discuss what they're seeing in the church, society, and learning from God through the Word. Based on those three factors, Kuza will prayerfully decide what to write and develop.

WHOLE BOOKS & TOPICS
Another important thing is that we believe in developing content based on entire books of the Bible and essential topics. We believe we must have content on whole books of the Bible because we don't want to create a mindset that there are important and unimportant things in the Bible. We believe that the entire Bible matters not just pieces and parts. We are also convinced that topics are important because some things need to be pressed. No matter what you find in Kuza, our goal is to be as biblical and relevant as possible, and the importance is placed in that order.
