God is Creator. His laws are the protocols that the cosmos is actually built to operate upon. Like law of gravity, laws of health, and law of love, which is the principle of giving. This design of giving is seen in nature, with every breath we give away CO2 and the plants give back oxygen to us. This is God’s design of love built into the fabric of reality. Unlike other Bible translations, which view the text through the lens of a legal problem, with humanity being in legal trouble with God for breaking imposed rules, this paraphrase approaches interpretation through this lens of design law and views humanity as being in a condition deviant from God's design and in need of healing and restoration. Thus this paraphrase consistently represents God as healer battling against all forces that damage and destroy.
