Well they broke it
This worked back in 2017. But today, on a newer phone, inside and outside, plenty of room, the field doesn’t load. It can’t detect the ground. Somehow, they broke this app, and it shameful. It. Used to be a finicky fun game, but now it’s just a literal waste that I regret having spent money on.

Never found the floor
The app could never find where the floor was no matter how many times I restarted the detection. So essentially it was as if the marks were in mid air floating around.
