As a convenient, intellective and accurate Arabic dictionary application, Maani includes more than 300,000 Arabic words and phrases, covers all the aspects that we can think of, such as terminologies in social life, modern technology, medical science, history, culture, art, astronomy, geography, Chinese and Arabic dialects, modern Arabic vocabularies, Internet buzzword, etc. Frequently used vocabularies are catered based on different countries, which makes it easier to blend the words into our daily life, to enhance our understanding towards the words, and to solve the problems we encounter during our study and actual application.

Each of the word involves its character, root, explanation, pronunciation, synonym/antonym, tense, derivative, example, and related phrases. For the root of each word, much detailed explanation is provided.

Maani embodies five major Arabic dictionaries (معجم الغني、معجم الرائد 、معجم الوسيط、لسان العرب), consisting Arabic-Chinese, Chinese-Arabic, Arabic-English, English-Arabic, Arabic-Arabic dictionaries, which makes learning much easier.

In the following updates, Maani will provide more features and services like image recognition, real-time speech translation, manual online translation, Arabic learning, etc.

For searching, Maani supports both common input and root search. By applying intellective judgment algorithm, Maani makes it possible to refrain from defects of the previous dictionaries of the kind, such as slowness in searching and conjunction of the words, singleness of the words meaning, failing to search for word’s tenses and variants, etc.
