About QVtoGO
What are the four modes of this app?
• QVtoGO city walk. Purchase your QVtoGO printed map at a reselling point, or online at www.qvtogo.com. Use the app for scanning the QR code on the map and put your phone away. Our illustrated route on the map takes you to the fascinating points of interest while the GPS-triggered commentaries – just like professional guides- relate the most engaging facts and anecdotes relating to the city attractions highlighted on the map.
• QVtoGO @home. These virtual tours are designed to recreate the experience of a real city walk – from the comfort of your own home. Purchase one of our tours as an in-app purchase and enjoy videos and fascinating commentaries on top city sights – without even having to leave the house!
• QVtoGO Live. This solution enables your smartphone to receive your professional tour guide’s live commentary with no time delay!
• QVtoGO on your cruise. Traveling by ship doesn’t mean you can’t access informative and entertaining commentaries! We provide our services to numerous cruise companies, so don’t forget to ask your cruise manager if QVtoGO audio commentaries are available, for example, on your European river cruise.

Misleading description
The description mentions QVtoGO Live, which should replace the need to use the actual QuietVox device and wired earpiece so the user could use their own iPhone and choice of wireless earbud/headphones while on a tour. However, I couldn’t find this function anywhere in the app, nor mention of it on the product’s website. Wasted download while on a cruise. It would be a great feature to allow us to use our own wireless headsets since the QuietVox device doesn’t support Bluetooth.

Terrible app
On a Scenic cruise the app was completely unusable. Ultimately we determined that the wi-fi was only sporadically connecting but there was no indication or troubleshooting available in the app — why couldn’t the developers at least notify that the app can’t connect? This would have saved aggravation of debugging on the fly.
