About T-VOIX

●Description
An application providing an aural read-out of text from information translated into various languages in environments without communication coverage simply by holding a terminal (smartphone or tablet) over codes on printed matter that display the “UV” mark.

Codes that display the “UV” mark store information on Japanese printed matter provided by the towns visited pre-translated into various languages.
The text is read out by the smartphone’s TTS (Text-to-Speech) function.
Text for languages not supported by TTS is displayed on the screen.

●Usage
・Hold the terminal over codes on printed matter that display the “UV” mark.
・Align the guide marker on the application’s reader screen with the code on the printed matter.
・Place the terminal approximately five centimeters from the surface of the printed matter and then withdraw it slowly.
・The code will automatically be recognized when the focus comes into alignment.

●Miscellaneous
・The information (text) displayed when the terminal is held over the code has been pre-translated.
・Text for which the required language has not been registered will be displayed only in English or Japanese.
・Depending on the camera specifications and performance of terminals made by different manufacturers, there are cases in which reading the code may prove difficult.

●Main Functions
・The languages available for the text-to-speech function are English, Japanese, simplified Chinese, traditional Chinese, Korean, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Thai, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Arabian, Malaysian, Indian, Tagalog and Dutch.

・The text screen can be enlarged and reduced with touch operations using two fingers.
・The speed of playback is adjustable.
・It is possible to take calls and browse URLs from the screen (communication coverage is required).

● Uni-Voice Code Description
The “UV” marks attached to codes on printed matter represent Uni-Voice codes.
