Great Theory Course But Important Gaps in Real Exam Alignment
I used Zutobi to prepare for my driver’s license exam, and overall I found the theory course to be excellent. The modules are very clearly explained, well structured, and easy to follow. The theoretical part was extremely helpful, and I truly believe it made a big difference in helping me pass the written test. I answered over 500 practice questions and passed the exam with only two mistakes, so the app definitely contributed to my success. However, there are two major issues that I think are very important to address. First, the practice test questions are not formulated in the same way as the actual written exam questions. On the real exam, I encountered questions that were worded differently and in some cases did not include images. For example, I was asked to identify a “road work” sign based only on its shape and color, without seeing the image of the sign. In the app, practice questions almost always include images, which creates a different type of preparation. Another example was a question about signaling when approaching a side road — without a visual reference, it requires a different level of reasoning. This discrepancy makes a real difference. I strongly believe the app should align its practice questions more closely with the actual state exam format — even if that means offering 500+ questions that are written exactly like the real test. That level of alignment would make the preparation much more accurate and effective. Second, regarding the driving practice section: I did not complete all of it because I already had a foreign license and only needed to retake the test in the U.S. However, I watched the parallel parking video as a refresher, and unfortunately it is incomplete. After turning the steering wheel to the right and reaching the 45-degree angle, the video does not clearly explain the crucial step of straightening the wheels before completing the maneuver by turning the wheel to the left. This is an essential step in parallel parking. Because it was not clearly explained, I initially struggled with the maneuver during practice. This part of the video definitely needs improvement. On the positive side, I found the video explaining what to expect on the day of the driving test very useful and reassuring. In conclusion, the theory portion is excellent and very well done. However, the lack of full alignment with real exam questions and the incomplete explanation in the parallel parking video are significant drawbacks. While I was initially very enthusiastic, these issues lowered my overall satisfaction. I used the free trial, and based on my experience, I’m not sure I would pay for the full version unless these improvements were made.

Not the best for NJ MVC Test
I can only speak for doing the New Jersey knowledge and this did not provide the majority of the questions NJ asks for. It will teach you everything about the general rules, traffic signs, car questions but for specific NJ laws you will need to do a lot of extra study from other sources.
