What A Mobile Game Should Be

So I won’t try and say this game is perfect for everyone or even perfect for me but it’s one of those mobile games I just have to keep on my phone and play because it is the perfect example of what other games should strive for. Beautiful, Optimized, clean with no annoying popups, offline, full controller support, co-op split screen!!! and overall just a game that made me instantly look up to see what else the developers made. If this game was a 3rd person or first person view I’d be in heaven.

The game got very stuttery with today’s update. Please fix.

Great game with slogs

It’s a wonderful mobile game with a bit too much filler content. Gathering, farming, fishing, and building all end up being chores without a gameplay element, with nothing but waiting and mindless button taps in a half hearted attempt to add “hours of playtime” to the value calculus. By the last few hours of storyline, gameplay very much felt like work that sunk-cost fallacy compelled me to complete. That said, it is very, very fun for a long time between those points. It’s like those annoying stealth missions that break up an otherwise strong AAA game. Sanity tip: install Deadly Transmissions ASAP. Thank me later.

Smash, build, explore… repeat!

This was a well designed, fun, frustrating-at-times, totally-worth-it game that is perfect to lose hours to, or play a few minutes at a time. Play the game how you like. Explore and build? You can do that! Smash stuff up? Yeah, that too!! Scavenge and sneak? Sure, whatever you want. And no annoying ads, no distractions, no drama. Just good adventure, good gaming, fun story, challenging, and fun the whole way through. Controls are good and offer customization. Sound and music blend great with the art and design. Oh, and you can break just about everything. It fun. Buy it.
