Te Araroa - The Trail App provides useful information to guide thru hikers along the Te Araroa trail. Users will be able to view official trail notes, maps, elevation, campsites, huts, and offline topo maps without cell phone coverage.
We want you to have a safe hike so it's important for you to understand this app is not a safety tool. It does not replace the proper safety equipment (Notes, Maps, PLB, etc...) and is not a substitution for proper preparation for the Te Araroa trail. It's your responsibility to be prepared. Needs fixed but could be useful
Cool app in theory, but crashes literally every minute. Not very functional

Fantastic trail companion
Great app that is really helpful for any hiking in NZ due to the offline maps and super good for a TA thru hike. Only thing is that it is tailored for SOBO’s and not much northbound help in the notes.
