Real Talk. Let me start with some truths…

First off I just have to say the concept is beyond progressive, ideal, forward thinking. Almost a perfect model of what society as whole could be do to solve countless social issues plaguing the “free world” today. I praise the developers for being so selfless and mindful of all sorts of people. Thank you very much. I appreciate and embrace Vternal. Here are a few concerns malicious actors as nodes. Malware can be disguised as legitimate data. User can targeted via devices. Malware can be designed to exploit vulnerabilities. Either through OS’s or apps. Insider threats such as employees, contractors or other individuals with access to sensitive information. Weak encryption or key management, even with encryption vulnerabilities in the implementation or management of encryption keys can be exposed. Public key substitution criminal’s especially cyber criminals unfortunately are notoriously difficult to catch and hide money is easy with crypto. Tampering and injection, flaw in the encryption protocols maybe a way to tamper with data. Lack of control of data. The cloud is the cloud. Data sovereignty and jurisdiction issues. Data stored across devices in different locations could be subject to laws and regulations. Granting government and law enforcement access to without consent. Difficulty with in data deletion and retention. With a distributed system, ensuring complete data deletion across all nodes can be challenging. Raising concerns about at a retention and compliance with privacy regulations. Network and availability, denial of service (Dos) and distributed denial of service (DDos) attacks P2P networks vulnerable. Single points (in distributed context) While decentralization aims to eliminate single points of failure, if a significant number of users devices are compromised or disconnected from the network it will impact data availability. I’ll end there however I thought of a few other vulnerabilities as well. Oh, and apparently you can’t upload files over 1000 mb or 1 gb. And everything has to be compressed or a zip file. Hey, it’s free. Want a free TB try Feb and or TeraBox. Plus the upgrades aren’t that bad compared to more well known cloud services.

Love it but-

It needs a google sign in option again because I can’t sign in anymore. I also would like if folders made a comeback, it was a great touch to find specific photos or videos in folders.
